PRE-CARE & AFTER-CARE FOR OUR SERVICES!

50% OF THE OUTCOME OF YOUR PERMANENT MAKE-UP PROCEDURE IS FOLLOWING PRE-CARE & AFTER-CARE CORRECTLY

Microblading

AFTER-CARE:

Day of treatment

  • Gently blot the area with a clean tissue to absorb excess lymph fluid. Do every 5 min. throughout the day until oozing has stopped.

Days 1-14:

  • WASH: Gently wash your procedure area each morning and each night with water and antibacterial soap. Use your fingertips to gently cleanse, use a smooth motion for 10 seconds and rinse with water to ensure all the soap is rinsed away. Do not scrub, gently wash! ( This will not remove any pigment, this step is crucial to prevent infection!) Pat dry with clean tissue. DO NOT use any cleansing products containing acids or exfoliants!
  • MOISTURIZE: Apply a rice grain amount of ointment with a cotton swab and spread it across the treated area. Be sure to to over-apply as this can suffocate your skin and deal healing. The ointment should be barely noticeable on the skin!

Important reminders:

  • Use a fresh pillow case
  • Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally exfoliate away, picking will cause extra scabbing, and loss of pigment

  • No facials, botox, chemical treatments or microdermabrasion for 4 weeks

  • Avoid hot, sweaty exercise, long hot showers, long hot tubs, saunas, swimming at all for the first 10 days

  • Avoid direct sun exposure or tanning for 4 weeks after the procedure. Wear a hat outdoors!

  • Avoid any topical make up on the treated area!

  • Limit your showers to 5 min. if possible! Keep your face out from under the running water

  • Remember with proper after care routine you will have much better results with your procedure!!

The following MUST be avoided 14 days post procedure:
  • Botox, fillers, glycolic acid, chemical peels, laser treatments, waxing, tinting, microdermabrasion, tanning (bed or direct sunlight), facials, bleaching, AHA (alpha hydroxy acids), Retin-A, vitamin A, exfoliating, anti-aging or brightening skin care products
  • Working out heavily, swimming, saunas, jacuzzis, hot baths, keeping area soaked in water, tasks related to heavy household cleaning (chemicals and airborne debris can infect site or slow the healing process down), drinking alcohol in excess amounts ( this can cause healing process time to double)
  • Avoid picking, scratching or peeling the pigmented area in order to avoid scarring, unnatural healing, slow healing, and uneven pigment. Try to avoid touching the area, unless to clean or add ointment with clean hands!
  • Avoid driving in open air vehicles such as convertibles, boats, bicycles, or motorcycles.

Day of treatment:

Take an inti-inflammatory as need for pain and swelling. Gently blot the area with a clean tissue to absorb excess lymph fluid. Do every 5 min. throughout the day until oozing has stopped.

Day 1-7:

  • Apply ointment on lips several times throughout these days to keep moist at all times. Avoid spicy & salty foods, and drink through a straw. After each meal gently rinse and clean lips with water and pat dry, then reapply ointment. Lips will begin and end the peeling process throughout this week, and the color will lighten by 30-50%. Don’t pick or peel at you lips, let peeling happen naturally! Continue keeping the lips moist

Days 8-14:

AFTER-CARE:

Day 1:

  • Color is approx. 30% darker than when it will be healed. It is also slightly larger, this is due to color oxidation as well as swelling, this is normal and will go down as it heals.

Days 2-3:

  • Your color will darken temporarily as the pigment oxidizes and thin scabs will form. You may wakeup with puffy eyes, you can remedy this by sleeping on an incline or applying cool compress. Your eyeliner will feel tight and dry but shouldn’t be painful!

Days 4-7:

  • Allow healing and peeling to shed naturally. It will begin flaking until there’s not scabbing left. Once scabbing has finished flaking it’s common for color to appear lighter. Over the next few weeks the full color will return to the surface.

  • At 6 weeks your eyeliner is fully healed and you’re ready for a touch-up!

Important reminders:

  • Use a fresh pillow case
  • Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally exfoliate away, picking will cause extra scabbing, and loss of pigment
